Update 15/6/2023 (new)
Hello everyone! Here we are again after all this time for a new Liminal Game update. We paused the development of monumentality to release this jam-oriented update, and honestly, out of spite after seeing the terrible programming and optimization the last update of this game had.
This said, We have a list of all the features added and changed:
- Removed the days indicator above in the screen, it served basically no purpose at all.
- Though no new levels have been added, we increased the deails and size of the majority of them. This creative relief has given us the ability to increase the quality and visuals of every level, and making a better game in general.
- Now you can sit in chairs (apart from the first one of course, that is not new at all), open doors and pick up keys. Some of the doors will be locked, so this keys might come in handy to continue progressing. And for those who hate searching for stuff (tho they are not hidden at all) you can activate a cheat mode to open all locked doors without a key.
- Save files are here! All your configurations and locations are stored into your pc so you can take a break and return later. There is an autosave option turned on by default, so that the game saves whenever you enter a new level.
- A lot of new options added, you can check them out in the settings menu!
- Colorblind support is now available.
- Footstep sounds now react to the floor you are stepping on.
- Visuals in general boosted, everything should (and do) look way better than before.
- Camera animations boosted too, for realism.
- Ultra low graphical mode added, meant to be paired with some specific settings mentioned in its tooltip to get some sort of ps1 look, and let very slow machines run it.
- 32 bit windows support added.
- Performance boosted. Now the game should run better and smoother, we don't know its minimum requirements but take into account a gtx 1060 runs the game in the highest graphical settings at +100fps.
So this is all! Not everything is good though, as we couldn't get to work the linux version of the game! This is very bad news, but we will try to solve it in the future. If you wish to know more about the problem and have knowledge on unreal engine linux cross-compiling, please send us an email here: crowcave.contact@gmail.com.
So this is all. As always, have fun! :)
